Lone Deer Laredo, Paola Suhonen and Olli Happonen, are Helsinki based folkrock band. The duo is recording album series in Nashville Tennessee with the legendary producer Brad Jones who has worked in the past with the names like Josh Rouse, Dolly Parton and Rosco Gordon. On October 2025 Lone Deer Laredo will release the third chapter of the seven vinyl series Lone Deer Laredo vol 3 (3/7). Enjoying growing indie appreciation, the duo has gradually raised their stakes as the album series has progressed, and on the third album, the songwriting, production and original Scandinavian Americana have been honed to even greater glory. On the album influences from 60’s psychedelic pop, 70’s folk psychedelia meet the country music vibes naturally and effortlessly. The first single Golden Chosen Playmate perfectly sums up the aforementioned influences and also works as a Friday night party song. The song evolves from 60’s style whispering pop psychedelia to massive chorus and the beautiful string harmonies played by local Nashville music scene legend Chris Carmichael (Buddy Guy,Taylor Swift, Steve Earle).
