Alexa Wilding – Knife MUSIC VIDEO by Paola Suhonen

Paola Suhonen filmed and directed the latest music film for the singer Alexa Wilding (www.alexawilding.com) and her new single called “Knife”. Suhonen and Wilding have collaborated in several different projects in the past, most recently Alexa was one of the leading actresses in Ivana Helsinki head designer’s short film “Gone With The River”.

Paola Suhonen & designer milk with Valio

Finnish dairy company, Valio, renews the outlook of their milk cartons with Finnish artists. Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen with seven other contemporary artist and designer have created new prints for the traditional cartons. “Designer milk” is in stores until April 2012.

Ivana Helsinki pop up store in Kluuvi shopping centre

Ivana Helsinki opened a pop up store in renewed Kluuvi shopping center in Helsinki on October 14th. The new pop up store has theme weeks, different events and limited edition products which will only be sold in the pop up store throughout the autumn and winter.

The pop up store is open until end of May 2012, mon-fri 11-19 sat 10-18

Paola Suhonen by Seppälä

Seppälä’s new designer collaboration with Paola Suhonen comes in selected stores on November 1st 2011. The collection was inspired by art noir and the pieces are filled with femme fatale lace, velvet and chiffon. The collection film, Gone With The River, can be seen in Seppälä stores with the collection.

Ivana Helsinki Flakes Chairs For Piiroinen at ISETAN, Tokyo

HIRAMEKI Design • Finland co-operates with ISETAN Shinjuku, Tokyo, under the theme “Love Communication”. The Love Chair Collection consists one hundred customized chairs, manufactured by the Finnish furniture company Arvo Piiroinen Oy. Ivana Helsinki amongst 23 other Finnish designers, together with Japanese designers, created special graphics and patterns according to the theme.

The collection can be seen in the ISETAN Shinjuku department store on 5th floor between October 26th and November 8th.

faces – fashion – fantasy wears Ivana Helsinki

A Stuttgart based art-project called faces – fashion – fantasy wants to engage personalities and their forms of expression in dance, movement and fashion. The creative work of styling, fashion, hair styling, make-up and the models, dancers and actress’ performance culminates into beautiful photography. Ivana Helsinki Summer 2011 collection ‘Where The F*ck Is My Sailor’ and the current ‘Velvet Lake’ collection was shot in Germany and the results are online now here and on FFF’s webpage:

History of Ivana Helsinki exhibiting in Stockholm

Finland’s Institute in Stockholm, Sweden organizes design events throughout the year as spinoffs for World Design Capital Helsinki 2012. Ivana Helsinki ‘Velvet Lake’ collection with a selection of dresses during the whole brand history of 13 years can be seen in gallery S7 (Snickarbacken 7) between October 5th and November 3rd.

Ivana Helsinki attends Fin Noir in Paris

Ivana Helsinki amongst few other leading Finnish fashion designers showcase their s/s 2012 collections in the Fin Noir exhibition in Paris with photographers and illustrators. Fin Noir is an official satellite event of the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 and the participants for the exhibition were chosen on account of their influence on current Finnish fashion.

Ivana Helsinki ‘Looking Back to Find Our Future’ with Nordic Fashion Biennale

The 2011 Nordic Fashion Biennale in Seattle culminates to exhibition which presents cutting-edge contemporary fashion, design, and installations from designers all over the Nordic. Ivana Helsinki with others such as Henrik Vibskov and Sandra Backlund will demonstrate how important the influences of nature and heritage are for Nordic designers.

 

The 2011 Nordic Fashion Biennale will be held at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle from September 30 to November 13.

Ivana Helsinki at The Housing Fair 2011

Lemminkäinen is one of the biggest construction companies in Scandinavia. Lemminkäinen invited Ivana Helsinki to be its partner at the annual Housing Fair, to be held in Kokkola during July-August. Ivana Helsinki designed and built the interior design for a one-bedroom high-rise apartment with many unique furnitures and interior objects. Lemminkäinens show home includes a pop-up shop selling Ivana Helsinki products, specially designed for the Housing Fair 2011.
The Housing Fair 2011 will be held in Kokkola from 15 July to 14 August, 2011.

Where The Fuck Is My Sailor collection helps to Save the Baltic Sea

Open Europeans 2011 sailing competition arrives in Hernesaari, Helsinki, where SavetheC opens their new pavilion and Pop Up Store for few weeks.
The aim is to raise awareness of the situation of the Baltic Sea with café, info spot and Pop Up Store. Ivana Helsinki is sold in the pavilion until July 15th, 10% out of every purchase made in the store is donated for protecting the Baltic Sea.
