Ivana Helsinki pop up store in the centre of Helsinki in Kluuvi shopping centre (Alkesanterinkatu 9) continues until end of May 2012. The upcoming spring/summer 2012 collection, Indian Summer, will also be sold in the pop up store after it’s being released for sale later on this year.

The ‘Lento’ smoke alarms designed by Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen have finally arrived both Ivana Helsinki pop up and concept stores. Optical smoke alarm is manufactured by Jalo Helsinki and can be attached with 3M tape.

Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen participates the Boutique exhibition amongst 9 other Finnish designer and artist in Amos Anderson Art Museum. Boutique is a shop-in-shop installation created by five designer-artist pairs to discuss the key questions in terms of art and fashion. The exhibition can be seen at Amos Anderson Art Museum from August the 17th until November 21st in 2012 as part of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 schedule.

Finnish writer Riikka Pulkkinen was wearing a unique Ivana Helsinki evening gown at the traditional Finnish Independence Day reception at the presidental recidence in the centre of Helsinki on December 6th, 2011. The handprinted silk dress received a lot of attention from media and was in the top 3 of most beautiful gowns this year.

The ‘Love Communication’ collection by Piiroinen was seen at ISETAN in Tokyo from end of October until beginning of November 2011. The Ivana Helsinki Flakes Chairs with accessories and homewear were spotted from the biggest department store in Japan amongst other designer’s work – See the photos here!

London based up and coming band, Revere, was featured at FashotTV. Both Revere girls, Kath and Ellie, were wearing Ivana Helsinki dresses. Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen has also filmed the Throwning Stones (Dreams of Primaballerina) music video for Revere earlier this year.

Paola Suhonen filmed and directed the latest music film for the singer Alexa Wilding (www.alexawilding.com) and her new single called “Knife”. Suhonen and Wilding have collaborated in several different projects in the past, most recently Alexa was one of the leading actresses in Ivana Helsinki head designer’s short film “Gone With The River”.

Finnish dairy company, Valio, renews the outlook of their milk cartons with Finnish artists. Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen with seven other contemporary artist and designer have created new prints for the traditional cartons. “Designer milk” is in stores until April 2012.
