Finavia’s Art Port gallery family grows with two new galleries, fashion and photography gallery. Ivana Helsinki is part of the interesting fashion gallery at Helsinki-Vantaa airport, besides the exhibition there is also a chance for the travellers to try walking on catwalk.
Art Port gallery family is part of World Design Capital 2012 programme.
Ivana Helsinki’s collaboration with Pirkka has released an ad campaign showcasing Paola Suhonen’s film series called Piknikhetki (“a Picnic moment”). The ten short films are being releazed one at a time until mid June, the first called “Saunaseura” was releazed on April 12th 2012. The campaign works around secrets which can be found from Paola’s films, see more at Pirkka -website.
Ivana Helsinki a/w 12-13 collection, Tapiola-Kauniainen, was presented at Lithuanian fashion festival, Mados Infekcija in March 2012. The festival focuses on fashion and art’s fusion by creating an event where professional and upcoming designers are brought together.

Ivana Helsinki pop up store in the centre of Helsinki in Kluuvi shopping centre (Alkesanterinkatu 9) continues until end of May 2012. The upcoming spring/summer 2012 collection, Indian Summer, will also be sold in the pop up store after it’s being released for sale later on this year.
The ‘Lento’ smoke alarms designed by Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen have finally arrived both Ivana Helsinki pop up and concept stores. Optical smoke alarm is manufactured by Jalo Helsinki and can be attached with 3M tape.

Ivana Helsinki head designer Paola Suhonen participates the Boutique exhibition amongst 9 other Finnish designer and artist in Amos Anderson Art Museum. Boutique is a shop-in-shop installation created by five designer-artist pairs to discuss the key questions in terms of art and fashion. The exhibition can be seen at Amos Anderson Art Museum from August the 17th until November 21st in 2012 as part of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 schedule.

Finnish writer Riikka Pulkkinen was wearing a unique Ivana Helsinki evening gown at the traditional Finnish Independence Day reception at the presidental recidence in the centre of Helsinki on December 6th, 2011. The handprinted silk dress received a lot of attention from media and was in the top 3 of most beautiful gowns this year.
