Social Media plays a big role in all of this; there is no more patience in the fashion world.  When you see something interesting on your screen you want to have right at that moment.  Traditionally the runway photos would spread to the audience months after the fashion shows, nowadays you will get a live stream from the runway via your favorite SnapChat influencer. 

In this world where you need to be innovative and have a strong vision, how can you define what the consumers need and most importantly want a year in advance? How can you offer something new and never-seen-before material when you need to showcase your collection 6 months prior to the actual launch? We do not believe in this old fashioned approach, not anymore. We want to proceed with honesty and keep true to ourselves, not follow any trends set by the fashion society. We want to react to the world around us and deal with the unexpected when it sneaks up on us. This is the only way Ivana Helsinki can be a true visionary and a pioneer in fashion.

Starting from August 30th 2016, New Ivana Helsinki will offer three new products every week. New products will be premiered in our online shop every Tuesday morning at 9am. New Ivana Helsinki products won’t be just dresses, since who would need 200 dresses or other new garments in a year? The answer is no one.

I could easily spend my life as a nomad, raising stories of love and life and going to my road trips – but it is pretty much ok to do cute, straight cotton and woolen dresses for charismatic drummer girls and girl-women with beautiful souls instead. My world is for the ones whom love moonlit fields, pirates, dark forests, crummy motels, champagne states of drunkenness, fragile butterflies, passionate relationships, cowboys and guardian angels. After all, they all are just after a love of their lives, rarely seen peaceful madness; just waiting to see, will he be a rockstar, a motor biker, a gnome, a cosmonaut or a sailor,” explains Ms. Suhonen.
